Yoga Retreat at Garth Barns, Wales
Yoga and Singing Retreat
Joyful yoga and singing in the heart of Wales
An overview of the retreat
Come and rest, move and sing with us in the heart of mid-Wales, in a place of exceptional natural beauty.
Spring is a potent time to retreat. As the outer world gathers energy and begins to bloom, the inner world is still tending its embers — integrating, clarifying and preparing for emergence. This retreat offers space to slow down, set intentions and gently return to yourself.
Garth Barns is a lovingly created retreat centre envisioned by its owner, Veronica, as a sanctuary for reflection, connection and deep listening to the land. Set within 220 acres of stunning countryside near the source of the River Severn, it is a place of quiet magic, comfort and care.
Over the weekend you’ll enjoy:
Twice-daily yoga
Delicious vegetarian meals
Singing in circle, both in workshop and around the fire
Evening offerings such as yoga nidra, sound immersion or relaxed fire gatherings
The venue also offers a lake and sauna — perfect for those who enjoy a refreshing dip followed by warming rest — as well as beautiful walks directly from the land. You’re welcome to wander alone, explore with the group, or join a guided walk with Veronica.
Surrounded by woodland, open skies, a meditation dingle and far-reaching views, Garth Barns invites deep rest. Relax in your thoughtfully decorated room, sit by the babbling brook, or find a quiet corner to simply be.
The light-filled yoga space features smooth oak floors and underfloor heating, creating a warm and supportive environment for practice.
Garth Barns is approximately 2.5 hours from Bristol and Manchester and 4.5 hours from London. Car shares will be arranged for those who wish to join one.
If this retreat speaks to something in you, we’d love to share the space with you.

Every yoga practice will include movement (asana), meditation (dhyana), relaxation and breath work (pranayama).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I'll be offering singing circles over the course of the weekend. A singing circle is about getting together to sing just for the joy of it, regardless of the sound you are making, and there are no solos or scores to read! We will sing simple, uplifting songs which you will learn easily by ear - sometimes we'll sing in the round and if we want to, we can introduce a few harmonies. It's such fun and makes you feel good. Around the fire in the evening we can also share poems, stories and songs, whoever would like to. If you like to sing, come! It doesn't matter whether you think you're a good singer or not.
