More about Morven
A YAP accredited senior yoga teacher and teacher trainer, Morven Hamilton has been practising yoga since 1995 and teaching it since 2008. Her previous experience as a language and music teacher and university lecturer has given her over two decades of teaching and group facilitation experience. During her time working as a teacher, teacher trainer and group facilitator she has seen yoga radically transform people's lives.
Her approach is playful, creative and meditative, informed by her own dedicated practice and her own transformative experience of yoga. Yoga has helped her to overcome anxiety, depression and, recently, breast cancer thanks to her regular practice.
She is non-dogmatic in her teaching and encourages her students to intuitively find their own expression of yoga while offering clear guidance along the way. Morven teaches with humour and a strong intention to demystify yoga, making it inclusive and accessible to everyone.
When you come to class with Morven you can expect Hatha yoga informed by mindfulness and varied contemporary approaches to the body and movement. Her main influences come from Scaravelli yoga, Body Mind Centring and Anusara yoga.
Morven is currently teaching in Weston-super-Mare on a weekly basis, with courses running in Bristol, Cornwall and Dorset.
She has worked extensively with people seeking the therapeutic benefits of yoga, including those suffering from anxiety, stress, insomnia and depression, CFS, COPD, cancer and those recovering from injury.

"I really enjoy the Wednesday yoga classes run by Morven. Even though yoga can sometimes be seen as a 'gentle' exercise I always come away feeling energised. It's a great way to switch off from everyday concerns and Morven's teaching ... is knowledgeable and accessible."
