Are you a yoga teacher looking to connect, keep learning and
feel part of a community?
The Teachers’ Circle is a year-round programme for yoga teachers who want to keep learning, practising and developing their teaching within a supportive professional community. Drop in to sessions or become a member.
What we do
The Teachers Circle programme brings together regular practice, mentoring, CPD and opportunities to connect with other teachers — providing somewhere to continue exploring the questions that arise once you are actually out there teaching.
Throughout the year we’ll explore practice and teaching through relevant themes, specialist workshops and longer practice series, alongside mentoring sessions where there is space to discuss the practical realities of teaching yoga and running a sustainable yoga business.
Teaching to inspire your teaching
The monthly practice sessions are designed not simply as classes to attend, but as sources of inspiration for your own teaching. We’ll explore themes, asana, pranayama, mudra, mantra and philosophy that you can take away, develop and make your own.
A growing library of resources
Sessions are recorded, gradually building an on-demand library of practices and teaching resources that members can return to throughout the year.
Find your people
And importantly, The Teachers’ Circle is also about having colleagues: people with whom you can exchange ideas, ask questions, share experience and continue learning long after teacher training has finished.
Flexible attendance
You can join The Teachers’ Circle as a member for access to the full programme and member benefits. Individual workshops and classes are also open to non-members, subject to availability, at the standard non-member rate.
What happens throughout the year
The Teachers’ Circle has a regular rhythm, with space for practice, deeper study, professional development and connection
Monthly
Monthly practice — a 90-minute themed class to support your own practice and inspire your teaching for the month ahead
Teaching notes are provided to inspire your next month of classes
Across the Year
Three practice series — longer explorations of key areas such as embodied asana, pranayama and strength & mobility
Mentoring sessions — quarterly peer discussion and practical support around the realities of teaching
In-person
Teachers’ Retreat — a dedicated weekend at Holworthy Farm to practise, learn and spend time together
Connection opportunities — selected events where members can meet beyond Zoom
Practice that inspires your teaching
Teaching yoga asks us to keep practising, exploring and learning ourselves (swadhyaya). The monthly Teachers’ Circle practices are designed to nourish your own practice while giving you fresh material and ideas to take into your teaching.
Each class looks ahead to the coming month, exploring a theme through asana, pranayama, mudra, mantra and yoga philosophy. Rather than giving you a ready-made class to reproduce, the intention is to offer a rich starting point: ideas to explore in your own body, reflect on, adapt and develop in ways that feel authentic to your teaching.
Our September practice, for example, explores steadiness at the turning of the year. Drawing on Ayurveda and the qualities of Vata, we’ll work with practices that offer grounding and stability as we move into autumn, alongside ideas that can provide a foundation for October classes.
Over the year, the themes change with the seasons and with the questions that arise through practice, giving you an ongoing source of inspiration for both your personal practice and your teaching.
