An overview of the workshop

A sound journey is another way of practising yoga. It is said that the world began with a vibration, and from that original vibration emerged the dynamic qualities of the Universe. In the yoga tradition, we identify that primordial vibration as the sound of OM. Everything we can see, touch or even think has its own vibration and its own resonance. Practising yoga by receiving healing sound is a gentle, meditative way into meditation and physical rest which requires you only to be there to receive.

This  two-hour session begins with relaxing, meditative yoga supported by props, which will take you into the blissful state of deep relaxation. When you arrive, you will set up your mat and your cosy props, and borrow any blankets and bolsters you need to make you comfortable. You will be offered a cup of tea to drink while you settle in.

Yin Restorative yoga is a blend of Yin - long held postures intended to move chi through the lower body and release tight connective tissues, and Restorative Yoga - relaxing yoga supported by props which helps you to completely relax and allow the healing process to take place.

The one-hour yoga session will be followed by an immersive sound journey with the majestic sound of the gong taking centre stage.  The gong has been used for centuries to promote healing with its resonance. The diverse sounds of the rhytmic playing of the symphonic gong with take you on an inner journey, away from space and time to a place of wholeness.

Other sounds include singing bowls, bansuri flute, harp and voice. This magical journey through sound will take you into meditation and offer you a new experience of your consciousness.

Please bring your own equipment - mat, cushion, blanket. pillow. Please let us know if you would like to borrow equipment.

Arrive ten minutes in advance to get settled before we start.

If you are not sure whether the sound journey is for you, please contact info@yogabynature.org with any questions.

"Morven's Restorative Sleep Course was amazing, it addressed my issues and then some! Morvens calm but clear nature was super relaxing but also informative, the class was very welcoming and her after care guidance was an added bonus. I can’t wait to try another class or workshop."
