Included in Membership. Members use code VATA when booking In Ayurveda, autumn into early winter is the season of Vata dosha – the energy of air and ether. Vata governs movement in the body and mind, creativity, and flow. But when it’s out of balance, it can bring feelings of restlessness, anxiety, dryness, overwhelm, and difficulty sleeping. Because Vata is the lightest and most mobile dosha, it’s also the one most easily disturbed – and so it’s often the first to fall out of balance. This means we’re all affected by Vata season, no matter what our personal constitution may be. In yoga practice, this calls for grounding, stabilising, strengthening and softening – practices that soothe the nervous system, release tension, and restore balance. Think: steady roots, calm breath, open awareness. Course Overview 🗓 Thursdays, 18th September – 23rd October 2025 ⏰ 6 – 7.15 pm (Zoom, live + recording option) Through refined standing postures, lower-body opening, gentle somatic movement, soothing breath work, mudras, and meditation, you’ll cultivate stability, resilience, and inner calm. Each week builds on the last: first exploring alignment and embodied technique, then accessing inner strength, releasing tension, softening into stillness, balancing effort with surrender, and finally integrating practices for deep rest and awareness. We will explore some unusual poses, creative forms of poses you know, and focus on viloma pranayama, padma mudra and vajrapadana mudra. Suitable for practitioners with an existing yoga practice. Weekly Themes Week 1 – Rooted Alignment & Embodied Technique Week 2 – Resilience & Inner Strength Week 3 – Releasing Restlessness Week 4 – Softening into Stillness Week 5 – Strength & Surrender Week 6 – Integration & Inner Rest By the end of the course, you’ll feel more rooted, resilient, and at ease – carrying with you a toolkit of grounding practices to balance Vata and support body and mind through the darker months.
Cancellation Policy
You can cancel your place up to 24 hours in advance of the class. For events and workshops, payments are non-refundable unless I can fill your place. Refunds will incur a £5 admin fee.
