About the course

About the event

The gong puja was envisioned by Don Conreaux, one of the original teachers of the way of the gong; he saw that putting 10 sound healings together in a ceremonial context created a powerful opportunity for energetic realignment. Ali Gunning, sound and yoga therapist, holder of sacred space and retreat facilitator has been facilitating sound healing for 14 years and brings a feminine light to holding the puja space as well as a passion for empowering people in their own healing by playing the gongs. Morven will be co-creating this event with Ali.

Receive healing sound for 8 hours from the comfort of your own ‘sound nest’. You can also join us for a daytime workshop to learn about and play the gongs, co-creating the ceremony.

COURSE FEATURES

Option 1/ Participate in the gong intro workshop + all night puja from 1pm

During the afternoon there will be a gong playing workshop where Ali teaches you simple playing techniques so that you can participate, with our support, during the all night puja. After a shared dinner we prepare the ceremonial space, practise for the puja, sip cacao and set our intentions. During the puja you will play one 45 slot in the ‘portal’ of 8 incredible gongs, giving you plenty of time to receive and rest as well. Many people find this opportunity to co-create the sound, to give and receive, brings them to a deeper layer of transformation. See below for more about the flow of the evening…

Option 2/ Places available for ‘receiving only’ from 9pm

For the puja you will bring your bedding into the space and spend the whole night in a cocoon of vibrations from 8 high quality planetary and symphonic gongs. Ali and Morven hold a sacred, safe space for your healing as they play the gongs continuously for 8+ hours along with those who have participated in the afternoon workshop.

We gather for an opening circle with meditation, sharing and intention setting then move into silence as the gongs begin to play. Please note the level of sound remains continuous through the night allowing you to drift into a transformative sleep or state of rest like no other!

After the gongs finish in the morning there will be a deep silence, before guided integration through movement and breath. We create a grounding breakfast before the closing circle. Herbal teas and water are available through the night.
