A level 2 class. If you would like to explore the path of yoga beyond physical practice and then enjoy a Hatha yoga class, please come and join us. In this class we spend the first 15 - 20 minutes discussing aspects of the yogic path. Our discussion inspires the theme for our physical practice for the remaining 60 minutes of the session. How can we practice compassion and maintain our boundaries? What does balance look like on and off the mat? Is it possible to live at peace and be fully in the world? These are some examples of topics we talk about. This is a non-judgmental, open space for you to get to grips with what it means to follow the path of yoga in the world. You will learn to incorporate the concepts of yoga into your practice on the mat, and how to take them out into the world to create a happier, more peaceful life for you and those around you. Physical practice will assume basic knowledge of pranayama and asana. Beginners to meditation, mantra, mudra and bandha are welcome. Our primary text for this class is Living Your Yoga by Judith Lasater. We also look at various other yoga texts for inspiration and wisdom.
You can cancel your place up to 24 hours in advance of the class. For events and workshops, payments are non-refundable unless I can fill your place. Refunds will incur a £5 admin fee.
