Dates: May 8th – June 19th, 2025 (with a rest on May 29th) Format: Online – live weekly sessions + optional self-practice/reflection prompts Level: For experienced practitioners (not necessarily advanced in ability) Style: Somatic, explorative, intuitive Course Overview This 6-week somatic yoga journey invites you to reawaken your asana practice from the inside out. Each week, we’ll explore a different category of poses as a gateway into deeper embodiment, presence, and connection. Rather than striving or fixing, we’ll listen, feel, and respond — moving with the support of gravity, breath, and the space around us. The course is a reminder that we are not separate from nature. When we over-effort, it’s often because we’ve forgotten this simple truth. Through embodied awareness, we rediscover a practice that is not only technically refined but also deeply satisfying, fluid, and meaningful. Weekly Breakdown 🌱 Week 1: Standing Poses — Finding Ground & Direction Date: May 8 Connect to the support of the earth Explore standing as both a physical and relational act Learn how to yield into the ground to rise with ease 🌊 Week 2: Forward Bends — Yielding & Softening Inward Date: May 15 Practice folding as a process of gentle surrender Use gravity as a friend rather than a force to resist Explore the role of breath, spine, and nervous system in softening 🔥 Week 3: Back Bends — Opening with Support Date: May 22 Learn how to open the front body without forcing Discover the role of the back body and breath in feeling supported Explore courage, vulnerability, and expansion through sensation 🕊️ Week 4: Upper-Body Balance — Strength Through Softness Date: June 5 Delve into arm balances and shoulder-supported postures Develop trust in your body's natural strength and intelligence Cultivate presence and curiosity over performance 🌪️ Week 5: Twists — Spiralling from the Center Date: June 12 Explore twisting as an organic spiral rather than a forceful action Access the deep core and spine through breath and awareness Learn to integrate oppositional movement with fluidity 🌌 Week 6: Inversions — Reclaiming Inner Space Date: June 19 Reframe inversions as an opportunity to shift perspective Use inversion variations (supported, restorative, playful) Embody the quality of stillness, spaciousness, and flow
Cancellation Policy
You can cancel your place up to 24 hours in advance of the class. For events and workshops, payments are non-refundable unless I can fill your place. Refunds will incur a £5 admin fee.
